Cosimo Amadei completed his art education in Florence, where he first discovered his passion for art and design, ultimately focusing on transportation design. He went on to pursue specialized studies in Transportation Design at IAAD and IED in Turin, developing a strong foundation in both creative vision and technical expertise.

With two decades of experience in automotive design leadership, Cosimo is recognized for his refined design sensibility, strategic thinking, and exceptional attention to detail. His work has been internationally acknowledged, earning multiple design awards in Italy as well as European recognition in the German Design Awards, reflecting both creative excellence and industry impact.

Currently, Cosimo serves as Senior Design Director at Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE), an advanced design studio that forms part of Mahindra & Mahindra, headquartered in India. Alongside Pratap Bose, he played a pivotal role in establishing the studio in Oxfordshire, shaping its creative direction and operational foundations.

Under Cosimo’s guidance, the studio has grown into a fully operational and highly successful design centre. He oversaw the execution of the BE Showcar and the Thar.e range and guided the BE6 EV from initial design concept through to production. The launch of the BE6 has made a significant impact on the Indian market, reinforcing Mahindra’s evolving design language and global ambitions.
